How is RoomMatching different from DSP or room correction?

RoomMatching includes DSP and room correction within a complete approach to loudspeaker and room integration.

Three complementary acoustic technologies shape how sound enters the room:

• Boundary Coupled Bass uses the wall behind the loudspeaker as part of the bass system, with wall-distance settings that support bass efficiency and integration with the midrange.

• Natural Cardioid uses the loudspeaker’s acoustic construction to direct more midrange sound forwards and less towards nearby walls.

• Minimum Diffraction Waveguide controls treble dispersion and reduces diffraction, with dispersion matched to the cardioid midrange.

DSP is integral to this design, handling crossover filtering, time alignment and other core system functions. Room calibration then refines the system’s response in your particular listening space, while personal tuning lets you adjust the balance to your taste.
