How does RoomMatching Align work?
RoomMatching Align provides guided calibration in the Dutch & Dutch app. It is currently available for the 6c, with support for the 8c planned.
Use a Dutch & Dutch Reference USB-C Mic, miniDSP UMIK-1 or UMIK-2 and follow the app’s wizard to take measurements throughout your chosen listening area.
Align combines those measurements with model-specific acoustic data and your loudspeakers’ output capabilities. It calculates correction filters tailored to your room and to what your system can deliver. The measurements are processed on our server, and the resulting DSP settings are sent directly to your loudspeakers. An internet connection is required for this calibration process.
Calibration focuses particularly on the bass, reducing excessive peaks and bringing its overall level into balance with the midrange and treble. Together, controlled directivity and calibration across the chosen listening area provide a more consistent tonal balance across the places where you listen.
